Wild Turkey – 12 Year Old Distiller's Reserve (70cl, 50.5%)

Wild Turkey 12 Year Old Distiller's Reserve is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Wild Turkey distillery in Lawrenceburg, made by Jimmy and Eddie Russell. It is bottled at 50.5% ABV (101 proof) in a 70cl bottle. The whiskey is selected from the distiller's reserve, barrelled at a lower entry proof and matured for 12 years. It draws on the distillery's high-rye mashbill and deep-charred casks. The nose is vanilla, caramel and oak with a hint of spice. The palate is rich and full, with caramel, vanilla, baking spice and mature oak. The finish is long, with a distinctive chocolate-orange note.
