This is Wild Turkey 8 Year Old, a Kentucky straight bourbon at 101 proof (50.5% ABV), bottled on 26 May 1993. The bottling date is stamped on the label. It was made at the Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, from a high-rye mashbill, and comes in a 75cl bottle.
The nose is rich in caramel, rye spice and toasted oak, with vanilla and leather. The palate is full and bold, with butterscotch, dark fruit, cinnamon and an assertive rye character. The finish is long and warming, with lingering spice and oak.
