Wild Turkey Bourbon, formerly sold as Wild Turkey 81, is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Wild Turkey distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, in a 750ml bottle.
It is made from a high-rye mashbill under Master Distiller Eddie Russell and aged in American white oak barrels with the deepest No. 4 alligator char. That char is behind the house character of vanilla, caramel and oak.
The nose is vanilla, caramel and light oak. The palate is smooth and balanced, with caramel, sweet corn and gentle spice, and the finish is easygoing, with soft oak and a touch of pepper.
