Wild Turkey Kentucky Straight Bourbon is bottled at 40.5% (81 proof) in a 1 litre bottle.
The name goes back to 1940, when a bottle of barrel-aged bourbon was taken along on a wild turkey hunt and the name stuck. Master Distiller Eddie Russell keeps to that tradition by ageing the bourbon for longer, from five up to eight years, in number four 'alligator char' American oak barrels.
