Wild Turkey Kentucky Straight Bourbon is matured for a minimum of five years in American white oak barrels with the deepest No. 4 alligator char. It is bottled at 81 proof (40.5% ABV), here in a 1.75 litre bottle.
It is made under Master Distiller Eddie Russell, a member of the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame, at the Wild Turkey distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
The nose is rich vanilla, caramel and oak with subtle dried fruit. The palate has bold vanilla and caramel with honey and orange zest, and the finish is smooth and lingering, with soft oak and hints of dried fruit.
