Longbranch is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Wild Turkey, presented as a small-batch release by Matthew McConaughey and master distiller Eddie Russell. It is eight years old and bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
The bourbon is aged in American oak and refined with Texas mesquite and oak charcoals.
The nose offers nutty caramel, vanilla, a hint of cherry, orange peel and a touch of charred oak. The palate is light, with honey-roasted nuts, rye spice, caramel, stone fruit, peppery oak, smoke and dark chocolate. The finish carries spice and nutty caramel, ending on barrel char and rye.
