This is a lightly peated English single malt from White Peak Distillery in Derbyshire, released as Over Smoke Batch 02/2022 under the Wire Works name. It is bottled at 53.1% in a 70cl bottle, natural in colour and not chill-filtered.
It was matured specifically in STR (Extra Smoke) oak casks, chosen to amplify its smoky character.
The notes are bold: bonfire smoke, charred oak, toasted sugar and dark chocolate, layered over rich vanilla and sweet dried fruit.
