Wolfburn 2019 Father's Day Release is a single cask Scotch single malt, drawn from sherry cask number 87 and bottled at its natural cask strength of 56.9% in a 70cl bottle. It was released for Father's Day 2019 as a limited edition of 320 bottles.
The nose opens with sherry sweetness, then demerara sugar and heather honey, with hints of apple blossom. On the palate, dried fruit leads, with apple, pear and gooseberries, followed by honey, butterscotch and light spice of cloves and cinnamon, all with a rich creaminess.
The finish lingers, with the honey and sherry notes fading at the very end.
