Wolfburn Aurora is a Highland single malt bottled at 46% ABV, without chill-filtration or added colour. Wolfburn was founded in 1822, closed in 1850 and reopened in 2013 near its original site, and it is now the most northerly distillery on the Scottish mainland.
Aurora was matured in three types of cask: refill quarter casks, first-fill ex-bourbon casks and first-fill ex-sherry casks. Together they give a sweet character with spicy notes, carried by the rounded, full-bodied spirit that comes from Wolfburn's slow fermentation and distillation.
