Wolfburn – Let It Snow Christmas Edition 2022 (70cl, 46%)

Let It Snow is the 2022 Christmas Edition from Wolfburn, a Highland single malt made in Thurso, Caithness, at Scotland's northernmost mainland distillery. It is a limited release, matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, at natural colour and without chill filtration. The bourbon casks bring sweetness and soft oak, and the whisky is built around a Christmas cake character. The nose combines bourbon sweetness and soft oak with heather blossom, autumnal fruit, and a hint of cacao and brown sugar. The palate starts floral, then moves through fruit and nuts to a rich, decadent finish with the mouthfeel of Christmas cake.
