Wolfburn – Morven (70cl, 46%)

Wolfburn Morven is the lightly peated single malt in the distillery's core range, bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtering or added colour. The barley takes in smoke as it dries, echoing the peat-fired original Wolfburn distillery. It is twice distilled and matured in ex-bourbon casks and Islay quarter casks, in traditional dunnage warehouses near the sea. The nose opens with smoke, delicate fruit and fresh sea air, with vanilla and oak shavings. The palate is led by floral notes, then raisins and light spice, with malt turning to gentle honey sweetness. The finish is soft and lingering, with gentle peat.
