Wolfburn – Morven (70cl, 46%)

Wolfburn Morven is the lightly peated single malt from Wolfburn Distillery in Caithness, bottled at 46% ABV. It takes its name from the highest point in Caithness. The malted barley is lightly smoked during drying, and the whisky was matured in virgin oak casks. The peated style nods to the 19th century, when the original distillery was largely fired by peat. The nose brings light smoke with hints of fruit, fresh sea air, vanilla and wood shavings. The palate is floral, with raisins and light spices, opening into malty warmth. The finish carries a soft honey sweetness.
