Wolfburn – Morven Single Malt Scotch (70cl, 46%)

Morven is a lightly peated single malt Scotch from Wolfburn Distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered. The malted barley is dried with smoke, a nod to the original 19th-century Wolfburn distillery, which was largely fired by peat. The whisky is distilled gently and matured in warehouses built for the purpose. The nose is smoky at first, with hints of fruit, fresh sea air, vanilla and oak shavings. On the palate come floral notes, raisins and light spice, then malt, ending on a soft honey sweetness.
