Wolfburn Northland is an eight-year-old single malt matured in American oak quarter casks. It is distilled, matured and bottled in Thurso, and it is twice distilled and lightly peated at 5 ppm. It is bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour.
The nose is sweet and fruity with a fresh sea breeze, backed by citrus, cereal and a faint trace of peat smoke. On the palate it is sweet and nutty, with grape and honey in the background, floral notes, and a touch of dried fruit and spice. The finish fades gently through soft sweetness, with a little mild peat smoke at the very end.
