Northland is a single malt from Wolfburn, a distillery on the north coast of Scotland in Caithness. It was matured in American oak quarter casks and was both matured and bottled on site. It is bottled at 46%.
The distillery was first founded in 1821, and Northland is described as the first chapter in the Wolfburn story.
The character is fruity with hints of peat. Sweet and nutty notes make up the palate, moving slowly towards a little smoke.
