Northland is the first chapter in the Wolfburn story, a single malt matured in American oak casks and bottled on site at the distillery. It comes in a 70cl bottle. Its soft, warm flavours are put down to the unhurried way the spirit is made and to the maturation.
The nose opens sweet, with fruit and fresh sea air, then citrus and cereal behind and only a trace of peat smoke. Sweet, nutty tones lead the palate, with grapes and honey, florals, dried fruit and spice. The finish fades gently, leaving a light touch of soft peat smoke.
