Wolfburn Single Malt is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky at 46%, in a 750ml bottle, with no age statement. It comes from Wolfburn in Thurso, Caithness, Scotland's northernmost mainland distillery. The distillery was founded in 1821 and revived in 2013, and it is bottled without chill filtration.
The nose is light, with ripe pear, vanilla, clove and a little smoked wood. The palate starts sweet with orchard fruit and malt, then turns to cherry blossom, mint, lemon zest, black pepper and a trace of peat smoke. The finish is long and oily, with a gently smoky tail and notes of honey, nuts and dried fruit.
