Wolfburn – Small Batch No. 155 (46%)

Wolfburn Small Batch No. 155 is a Scottish single malt from the Wolfburn distillery, bottled at 46%. The number refers to the position of casks in the distillery's warehouses: warehouse 1, row 55. The whisky is first matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, then finished for six months in hogsheads that previously held Fonseca port. The nose pairs dried fruit with sweet port, then opens to vanilla, coffee and dark chocolate. The palate moves between caramel and vanilla with a fruity sweetness, and the finish is warm and smooth, with autumn fruit and honey.
