Wolfie's Blended Scotch Whisky (70cl, 40%)

Wolfie's is a blended Scotch whisky that pairs fruity single malts matured in American bourbon casks with a sweet wheat-based grain whisky. A quarter of the blend is malt, and 10% of that malt is peated. It is blended and bottled by the Loch Lomond Group at Loch Lomond Distillery, at 40%, with colouring added and chill-filtered. The brand was developed by Sir Rod Stewart and Duncan Frew after a Scottish football match, with a deliberately rock 'n' roll look. The nose offers freshly baked apple pastry, cinnamon and buttered toast. The palate is silky and clearly sweet, with apple, pear, golden syrup, oats, soft oak and a light touch of peat smoke. The finish leaves candied citrus peel and gentle oak spice.
