Woodinville 8 Year Old is a limited edition straight rye whiskey from Washington State, made from 100% rye and bottled at 50% ABV. The rye is grown on the Omlin family farm in Quincy, then mashed and distilled by Woodinville and aged for eight years in toasted and charred American oak barrels.
The nose has dark molasses, clove, brown sugar and baking spices, with a hint of dried cranberry. On the palate, cinnamon-chocolate pastry and espresso mingle with rye spice, toffee, caramel, green apple and peppery oak. The finish is long, with sweet oak, lingering spice and gentle warmth.
