Woodinville – Straight Rye Whiskey

Woodinville Straight Rye is a whiskey made entirely from rye grown on the Omlin family farm in Quincy, Washington. The grain is mashed, distilled and barrelled at the Woodinville distillery, then taken over the Cascade Mountains to private barrel houses in Central Washington, where wide temperature swings work the spirit into the oak. The barrel wood is seasoned outdoors for eighteen months before coopering, then toasted slowly and heavily charred. On the nose it offers cinnamon, clove and fruit leather. The palate brings caramel, wood spice and honey, followed by a long finish.
