Writers' Tears Copper Pot Irish Whiskey (70cl, 40%)

Writers' Tears Copper Pot is an Irish whiskey from Walsh Whiskey, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. It is a vatting of single pot still and single malt whiskeys, with no grain whiskey, in a style that was popular in Ireland in the 19th century. The whiskey is triple-distilled in copper pot stills from malted and unmalted barley, and matured in American oak bourbon casks. The nose has apple, vanilla and honey over a pot still base. The palate is gently spiced, with ginger, butterscotch and toasted oak behind. The finish is long, with milk chocolate and almonds.
