Yamazaki – Distiller's Reserve (70cl, 43%)

Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve is a Japanese whisky from the Yamazaki distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. Part of the blend is matured in sherry casks, and some mizunara, or Japanese oak, matured whisky is included as well. It is described as fresh and fruity, with red fruit and a touch of sherry cask. The mizunara adds a complex, spicy, almost incense-like note to a deep, well-put-together dram.
