Yamazaki Distillers Reserve is a Japanese single malt from the Yamazaki distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 43% abv.
Part of the blend is whisky matured in mizunara, Japanese oak, alongside a touch of sherry cask influence.
It is described as fresh and fruity, full of red fruit, with the mizunara coming through as a complex, spicy, almost incense-like note.
