Yamazaki Puncheon 2022 is a Japanese single malt from the Yamazaki distillery in Shimamoto, Osaka Prefecture, released as part of the 2022 Rare Cask Series. It is matured exclusively in American white oak puncheons, large casks typically holding 480 to 500 litres.
The nose is rich vanilla, caramel and toasted grain. The palate is smooth and rounded, silky and well integrated, with depth and warmth. The finish is medium to long and warm, with vanilla and toasted oak.
