Zedda Piras Mirto Rosso Monte Arcosu (70cl)

Zedda Piras Monte Arcosu is a red myrtle liqueur from Sardinia, named after the massif in the Sulcis area where the myrtle grows wild. The berries are picked by hand once ripe. The best berries are selected and left to infuse in alcohol for a long period, in the traditional way, so that they release their character. It is made by Zedda Piras, a Cagliari house founded as a wine business and later turned to liqueurs. The nose is deep and intense, recalling the fruit itself with balsamic Mediterranean scrub notes. On the palate it balances sweetness and astringency in a soft body, leading to a very persistent finish.
