1770 Glasgow Limited Release No. 1 2018

This is the first single malt release from the Glasgow distillery, founded in 2014 by a young team of distillers. It is the first limited edition of 2018, and 5,000 bottles were filled. The whisky was matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and finished in virgin oak. It has a bright golden colour. The nose combines pear and rhubarb with vanilla and a little pepper. On the palate there are green apples and caramel, with peppery notes that are both fresh and warm. The finish mixes herbs with sweetness.
