1770 Glasgow – Triple Distilled (46%)

1770 Glasgow Triple Distilled is a Scotch single malt bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. It is made from malted Concerto barley and water from Loch Katrine, fermented for over 72 hours and distilled three times in copper stills. The third distillation removes heavier oils, leaving a light, fruity new make. This matures in ex-bourbon casks and American oak casks, which are married before bottling. It is described as having notes of shortbread, honey and clotted cream, with a warming, woody spice in the finish.
