Backbeat is a straight bourbon from 3 Howls Distillery in Seattle, Washington, bottled at 45% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The name is a nod to the city's musical heritage.
It is distilled in small batches from locally sourced Pacific Northwest grains and aged in new charred American oak barrels. Each batch is hand-blended.
The nose is vanilla bean, caramel and toasted oak, with brown sugar and roasted nuts. On the palate toffee, baked apple and sweet corn lead into spice, charred oak and a touch of maple. The finish is medium to long, with warm spice, lingering vanilla and gentle oak sweetness.
