A VSOP Cognac from Maison A. Edmond Audry, a historic family house founded in 1878. It is made from Ugni Blanc grapes, fermented into a dry base wine without added sugar, then double distilled in traditional Charentais copper pot stills. The eaux-de-vie are aged in French oak barrels from the Limousin forest. As a VSOP, the youngest eau-de-vie in the blend is aged at least four years.
The nose brings dried apricot, orange peel, vanilla, white flowers, toasted almond and gentle oak. The palate is smooth and layered with baked pear, honey, caramelised citrus and delicate baking spice, supported by refined oak. The finish is long, warming and graceful, with lingering fruit, soft vanilla and light toasted wood.
