Aberfeldy – 10 Year Old Dechar-Rechar Hogshead (70cl, 55.5%)

This Aberfeldy is a 10-year-old single malt from Milroy's Soho Selection, bottled at 55.5% ABV after ten years in a dechar-rechar hogshead. Aberfeldy distillery stands in the town of the same name in Perthshire, in the Scottish Highlands, and was founded in 1898 by the brothers John Alexander and Tommy Dewar. This bottling follows the distillery's fruity style, with plenty of apple and pear alongside a basket of tropical fruit. Sweet notes of pastry give it a rich, almost dessert-like character.
