Aberfeldy 12 Year Old Madeira Cask Finish – Travel Exclusive (40%)

A 12 year old Highland single malt from Aberfeldy, finished in Madeira wine casks after its time in traditional oak. It is bottled at 40% ABV, without chill-filtration or added colouring, and sold as a travel exclusive. Aberfeldy distillery stands in the town of the same name in Perthshire. It was founded by the brothers John Alexander and Tommy Dewar between 1896 and 1898, and it draws water from the Pitilie Burn, a stream known for its historic gold deposits. The Madeira finish adds to the soft, honeyed house style. The flavour is described as creamy honey, ripe fruit, toffee, raisins and gentle spice.
