Aberfeldy 12 Year Old Madeira Cask Finish is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 40% ABV. It is a travel-retail expression that adds Madeira cask maturation to the distillery's honeyed house character.
The nose combines golden syrup and toasted malt with dried apricot, ripe orchard fruit and roasted walnut. Creamy fudge and orange peel lead on the palate into candied ginger, soft vanilla and raisin-studded sponge cake, with a hint of smoke. The finish is soft and warming, with honey, citrus zest and gentle oak spice.
