This is a 15-year-old Highland single malt from Aberfeldy, finished in casks that previously held red wine from Bolgheri on the Tuscan coast. It is a limited edition from batch 2924/B, bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration or added colour.
Aberfeldy stands in Perthshire and was founded between 1896 and 1898 by the brothers John Alexander and Tommy Dewar. It uses water from the Pitilie Burn, a stream known for its historic gold. The distillery is known for a soft, creamy, honeyed style, with notes of honey, heather and ripe fruit.
