This is a 15-year-old Highland single malt from Aberfeldy, a limited edition from batch 2923/A. It was matured in refill bourbon barrels and hogsheads, then finished for around six months in Sémillon wine casks from Cadillac in Bordeaux. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
It was released in autumn 2023 as part of the Wine Cask Collection.
The nose is led by blossom honey, ripe peach, nectarine and pineapple, with toffee, vanilla and orange peel. The palate is soft and creamy, with tropical fruit, toffee, milk chocolate and a little oak spice. The finish runs medium to long, sweet and fruity, with a touch of cinnamon and soft wood.
