This is a limited edition Aberfeldy single malt, aged for 18 years and bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It was finished for 15 months in ex-wine barriques that previously held a well-known Californian red, the Cabernet Sauvignon of the name. The wine's influence gives a fruit-led, bold whisky.
The nose offers red berry aromas alongside green apple and honeyed, floral notes. The palate is rich, with a velvety texture and softening spices.
