This is an 18 year old Highland single malt from Aberfeldy, released as a limited edition in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV.
After maturation the whisky was finished in Tuscan red wine casks from Bolgheri, the Tuscan wine area known for top wines such as the Super Tuscans.
The nose is soft, with apricots, raspberries, strawberries, orange and red apples, alongside honey, green herbs and flowers. The palate is silky, with wine gums, almond, berries, dried fruit and herbs. The finish brings cherries, chocolate and herbs.
