Aberfeldy – 2013/2025 12 Year Old First Fill Bourbon Hogsheads James Eadie (70cl, 52.5%)

This Aberfeldy is a 12 year old single malt, distilled in 2013 and bottled by James Eadie in 2025 at 52.5%. It matured entirely in two first-fill bourbon hogsheads and was bottled in 644 bottles of 70cl, without chill-filtration or added colour. It is part of The Distilleries of Great Britain & Ireland series, and the label draws on the illustration of Aberfeldy from the distillery portrait published in 1925. The nose is grassy and tropical, with lychee, honeysuckle and greengages beside freshly baked custard tarts. The palate brings apricots, greengages and sharp kumquats, with stewed rhubarb and pears poached in brandy. The finish leaves lemon cream and double cream.
