Aberfeldy 21 Year Old is a Highland single malt, listed as a Madeira cask expression and bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. Aberfeldy was built in 1898 by the Dewar family.
The distillery's honeyed character is said to gain depth over more than two decades of maturation in ex-bourbon and sherry casks.
The nose brings floral honey, dried apricot, candied orange peel and toasted almonds. On the palate come crème brûlée, fig and ripe banana, with sweet spice, polished oak and buttery malt. The finish is long and warming, with honeyed oak, spiced orange and a little smoke.
