This is a 21 year old Highland single malt from Aberfeldy, part of its Exceptional Cask Series. It was distilled on 21 February 2002 and matured in refill and rechar hogsheads.
From November 2019 it was finished in three red wine casks from Pauillac in Bordeaux, and it was bottled on 15 March 2023. The 804 bottles are at a cask strength of 53.9% ABV, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring.
The nose combines blossom honey with ripe blackberries and raspberries, then almonds, dates, chamomile and a light touch of oak.
