Aberfeldy – 21 Year Old (75cl)

Aberfeldy 21 Year Old is a Highland single malt in a 75cl bottle, matured for more than two decades in a mix of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The distillery takes its water from the Pitilie Burn, a stream with a history of alluvial gold, which is where the nickname Golden Dram comes from. On the nose there is heather honey, toasted macadamia nuts and dried fruit, with citrus zest and soft oak spice. The palate is creamy and full-bodied, with orange peel, floral honey, vanilla fudge, a little peat smoke and gentle baking spices. The finish is long and warm, with honey, oak and dried fruit.
