Aberfeldy – 31 Year Old 1991 Connoisseurs Choice First Fill Sherry Cask Batch 23/010 Gordon & MacPhail (60%)

This is an Aberfeldy single malt from the Highlands, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice range. It is a 1991 vintage, aged for 31 years in a first fill sherry cask, and comes from batch 23/010. It is bottled at a cask strength of 60% and is neither chill-filtered nor coloured. On the nose there are stewed raisins and dark sugar with cinnamon, cloves and cardamom. The palate brings ripe apple, lively citrus, toasted walnut and peppery spice, and the long finish ends on a cool note of peppermint.
