Aberfeldy 40 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured in American oak ex-bourbon hogsheads since 1978. The whisky has spent forty years in cask, and only three casks were filled; this is the first to be released.
Honeysuckle and fresh-cut grass open the nose. The flavour moves on to heather honey, subtle oak and an elegant warmth, the distillery's hallmark notes.
