This is an eight-year-old Aberfeldy from the Highlands, bottled by the independent bottler Claxton's at a full cask strength of 55.1%.
Before bottling, the whisky was finished in a refill Oloroso sherry octave, a cask of about 50 litres. The finish gave it a dark colour and a sherry sweetness. It is not chill-filtered and has no added colour, so it is as it came from the cask.
