Aberlour 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, matured in two kinds of cask: traditional oak and seasoned sherry butts. Combining the two softens the crisp, citrus character of the distillery's new spirit and gives a balanced flavour.
The colour is golden amber with hints of ruby. The nose is soft and rounded with red apple, and the palate has a sherried character, with fruit balanced by rich chocolate. The finish is warm and lingering, sweet and spicy.
