Aberlour – 18 Year Old Double Sherry Cask Finish (75cl)

This is an 18 year old Speyside single malt from Aberlour, finished in sherry casks and bottled in a 75cl bottle. It is matured in bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, which bring deep flavours to Aberlour's spicy character, while the extra years add body and a rich raisin note. In the glass it is a deep auburn gold. The nose offers toffee and butterscotch with ripe peach and bitter orange. The palate opens with soft apricot and cream, then moves to old leather, oak and a touch of honey. The finish is very long and well balanced, going from creme brulee to a gentle oak note.
