Aberlour Casg Annamh is a Speyside single malt without an age statement, bottled at 48% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The name means 'rare cask' in Scots Gaelic. It is made in small batches from whisky matured in oloroso Sherry casks, using European sherry oak and two types of American oak.
The nose is rich and sweet, with tangy orange, glazed cherries, raisins and a hint of ginger. The palate brings apple cinnamon crumble and ripe peaches, with liquorice and cloves. The finish is long, rich and fruity, with a touch of dry spice.
