Ad Gefrin – Tácnbora Ruby Port Cask (70cl)

Tácnbora Ruby Port Cask is the fourth release in Ad Gefrin's cask finish series. Tácnbora is the distillery's signature blend of malt and grain whiskies, with honey, vanilla and gentle spice at its core. Here it is finished for six months in ex-Ruby Port casks from Portugal's Douro Valley. It is bottled at natural cask strength, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour, in an edition of 2,000 bottles. The nose is frangipane, figs, summer fruits and vanilla ice cream. The palate brings honeyed melon, fudge and tart red berries with pepper, and the finish is ginger, citrus peel and nuts.
