Ad Gefrin – Tácnbora Sauternes Cask Finish (70cl, 58.2%)

Tácnbora is the first spirit from Ad Gefrin, an independent family-owned distillery in Northumberland. This is a blended whisky, blended and bottled in Northumberland, then finished for nine months in ex-Sauternes oak casks. The finish adds richness, structure and subtle spice to the honeyed profile of the original blend. It is a limited edition, bottled at 58.2% ABV. The nose is honeyed apricot, cedar, orange peel, vanilla and spice. The palate brings toffee, almond, stone fruits, dried apricot, honey and oak. The finish lingers with coconut, white pepper, pine and vanilla.
