This is a 15 year old Speyside single malt bottled by Adelphi as Breath of Speyside, at a cask strength of 58.1%. It was distilled in 2009 and matured in a first fill Oloroso sherry cask. A total of 677 bottles were filled.
The nose has old rum, maple bacon, toasted wood and chocolate raisins, alongside savoury notes of oxtail soup and white beans in tomato sauce. Raisins, nuts and dark chocolate lead the palate, with smoked brisket, barbecue meat, black cherries and imperial porter. The finish is long and balanced.
